Anpal Centre for Creative Arts Education opens its doors with an inaugural Christmas recital 1st December, 2017 - The Christmas Rose. The evening featured Dr. Vinita Henson, Director, Center for Music Education, Bangalore, on the piano and AAbraham (Anjana Abraham), mezzo-soprano, on classical pieces. The ensemble t.H.i.s. & t.H.a.t (Thanking Him in Song & Thanking Him All Together), conducted by AAbraham performed choral pieces. The evening also showcased Gavin Jones on the piano and Alvin Mathew D'couto on the violin. 

Dr. Vinita Henson
Dr. Henson is the director of the Center for Music Education in Bangalore, and co-founder and director of the Music Education Program at The Bangalore Conservatory. She has been a music educator for more than thirty years, training children's choirs and ensembles, teaching private piano and group keyboard lessons in the US and India. She is a specialist in music-teacher training. 
Dr. Henson earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Vanguard University, and her Master of Arts and Doctorate of Musical Arts in Music Education at the University of Southern California. Dr. Henson is on the advisory board and an adjunct faculty member at Anpal Centre for Creative Arts Education.
