Geeve Mathew

Geeve Mathew, having made his mark as an English Teacher, Performing Arts Trainer and Groomer in numerous international private schools in India and in the Middle East, is currently Director of Music and Events at the GEMS Cambridge International School Dubai, Team of outstanding educators and trainers. Mathew is energetic and enthusiastic with remarkable initiative and supporting personality dedicated to offer the best in given tasks and responsibilities.

Having undergone foundational studies at the Mar Thoma Seminary High School Kottayam, Collegiate studies in English Literature from CMS College Kottayam  and Pedagogical Training from Titus 2nd Teachers Training College, Thiruvalla, Mathew undertook performance studies in Asian Music from the Asian Institute of Liturgy and Music, Manila, Philippines [1990] and an integrated Masters in Sacred Music and Divinity from the Boston University, Massachusetts, USA with a specialized curriculum in Voice and Conducting [graduated 1996].

Mathew had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of renowned music faculty and performers like the late Dr. Francisco Feliciano, Philippines [conducting and composition], Late Andrea Veneracion, Philippines [voice], Andres Solomonson, Sweden [theory of music] and Late Prof. Emeritus Sir Robert Shaw, USA [choral performance and conducting].
 
Mathew developed the Co-curricular and Performing Arts Departments of Prestigious Schools in India and the Middle East like The Choice School, Kochi [1999 – 2005] as Head of Department for Music Education and Performance, The GEMS Millennium School Dubai [2005-08] Oakridge International School Hyderabad [2008-11] as Dean of Performing Arts, The Al Salam Private School Dubai [2011-12] as HOD for Music Performance and The GEMS Millennium School Sharjah [2012-15] as Head of Department for Music Education and Performing Arts.

Mathew is proficient to teach solo and ensemble instruments like piano, electronic keyboard, violin, guitar, harmonica, accordion, melodica, solo voice, choral voice, and choral conducting and theory of Western Music.
 
As an educator-trainer Mathew is keen to groom talented individuals and ensembles in building up confidence and personality by helping them to find their voice and develop orchestral skills through inspirational training routine soon to be initiated at CIS.
 
Mathew Specializes in choral training and performance of musicals, conducts public concerts with choirs as well as being a Groomer and Judge in television and music reality shows like Amritha TV Devageetham Middle East Season 2.
