The Performers
Dr. Vinita Henson
Dr. Vinita Henson is co-founder and director of the music education program of the Center for Music Education. She has been a music educator for more than twenty years, training children's choirs and ensembles, teaching private piano, and group keyboard lessons in the US and India. She is a specialist in music-teacher training. Dr. Henson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Vanguard University, and her Master of Arts and Doctorate of Musical Arts in Music Education at the University of Southern California. Dr. Henson is on the advisory board and an adjunct faculty member at Anpal Centre for Creative Arts Education. |
Pradeep Singh
Pradeep Singh is the Conductor of Cochin Chamber Orchestra as well as Cochin Youth Chamber Orchestra. He had been a Civil Engineer by profession in the Gulf for a few years before migrating to Canada in 2001. While in Canada he had been regularly playing first violin with the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra before moving back to India in 2010. He still plays first violin with New Westminster Symphony Orchestra and Ambleside Orchestra while on vacation in Canada. Since 2014 he has been taking violin classes at Cochin Arts and Communications. In 2017 he started Cochin Youth Chamber Orchestra under the auspices of Cochin Chamber Orchestra, and spends most of his time mentoring his students and CYCO musicians. |
AAbraham
Anjana Abraham (AAbraham) is founder and artistic director of Anpal Centre for Creative Arts Education. A choral conductor, singer (mezzo soprano), and educator, she enjoys working with Church, school and community choirs. Abraham has been granted honorary membership of The Association of Croatian Choral Directors, and the honorary title of Maestra Mentor. She has also been invited as adjudicator at international choral competitions. Abraham graduated with a Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory (M.M.Ed ’17), where she was awarded the Promising New Music Teacher Award 2016 and the Music Education Award 2017. During her undergraduate studies at Singapore Management University, Abraham was the 2009 recipient of the University Student Life Arts Excellence Award. Her love for music has taken her on travels to Poland, Russia, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Singapore, Croatia and the U.S.A. |
The Ensembles
The Anpal Chamber Choir is the senior choral ensemble of the Choral Art Program at Anpal Centre for Creative Arts Education. The ensemble was established in 2018 and performs diverse repertoire ranging from sacred music, choral pop, classical and folk, and enjoys singing music from around the world.

The Centre offers a holistic approach to choral music training for children thorough the Anpal Treble Chorus. The chorus creates a setting to nurture singing technique and explore a wide range of repertoire. The Choral Art Program provides regular performance opportunities.
